She now travels around the North of England attending various craft, country and food fairs with her collection. Katherine has also taken to sourcing new fabrics on her travels including materials from Peru and Spain. She joined forces with Abi in 2017, having inspired her daughter to take up sewing. Abi enjoys experimenting with new products and spends far too many hours on Pinterest, taking in the bright and bold designs.
Their products include cosmetic bags in a range of sizes, purses, bunting, tea cosies, tote bags, cushions and aprons. All items are styled on things they would (and do) own, as well as by requests from family and friends. Wherever possible, the duo personalise each product, making them unique and special for each person. They pride themselves on doing their small part as a sustainable business – making long lasting items which can be kept for years and avoiding plastic wherever possible.
Katherine and Abi operate online Etsy and Amazon Handmade shops, as well as stocking local outlets with a range of their products. However, they have always loved being able to meet their customers face to face, valuing the feedback and enthusiasm they receive and hoping to inspire other people to take up sewing. Their products are accessible to customers of all budgets, selling a large number of products under £20 with a wide price range overall.

Rachael Laisney is a ceramic artist based in Southport. She runs a studio in Birkdale Village and loves to see the other artists at work and the creations they come up with. Her own pieces are inspired by nature and she works with stoneware clay, ensuring it is of high quality, weatherproof, food safe and microwavable. The ceramist uses various techniques including sgraffito, carving, wheel throwing and hand-building, and has recently begun combining sterling silver with ceramics and glass to make unique, quality jewellery. She also likes to experiment with different glaze combinations, contrasting them with the text and decoration on her pieces. Other than that, Rachael creates personalised and handmade pieces including mugs, plant pots, ‘mugloos’ (gnome homes) and gnome and nature related sculptures.
